Umi, a tax professsional from Singapore is a passionate ocean lover with a flair for adventure.
Known as @venturerabroad on Instagram, Umi's journey into the ocean's depths began with a love for scuba diving, freediving, and capturing the underwater world's beauty through photography and videography.
As the founder and co-owner of @thedeepbluemaldives -- Umi wanted to share the magic of the ocean with others. The Deep Blue group was born from this desire, offering unique, immersive experiences that combine adventure, exploration, and marine education.
Umi's mission is to inspire others to explore the wonders of the underwater world and foster a deeper appreciation for the ocean's beauty and diversity.

Hassan Shujau
CO-OWNER & TRIP LEADER
Hassan is native to Rasdhoo Island in the Maldives. He is known for his infectious smile and deep love for diving. Growing up amidst the Maldives' pristine waters, he developed an early fascination with the ocean and its vibrant marine life.
From a young age, Hassan was drawn to the beauty of the sea, leading him to pursue diving. He is a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor and shares his passion for the underwater world on his Instagram account, @dive_junkie.
For Hassan, diving is not just about exploring the ocean; it's about connecting with people. He believes in the joy and peace that diving can bring and is known for his positive energy and warm demeanour in the diving community.
Whether guiding a novice or leading experienced divers to hidden underwater treasures, Hassan's dedication to diving and love for the ocean make him an inspiring ambassador for the Maldives' natural beauty.
